New Release: Book 1

Wild Light, The awakening

But on the day this story begins, she has no future she can imagine or a past she remembers. Which she doesn’t tell the secretive strangers who find her alone and unconscious in a forest; she doesn’t completely trust them. Especially after one of them lets it slip that they’re being hunted by a horde of killers. And now she’s being hunted with them.
Soon it’s not just her amnesia she needs to hide; she has unexpected magical abilities. To discover why, and her place in this 18th century world, she must unravel the mysteries surrounding her while facing treachery, deadly enemies, a hidden society of dragons manipulating humans, and her growing protectiveness for the man with the cinnamon eyes.

The suspense escalates with each plot twist as this over 40 heroine and her found family fight for survival and uncover the truth about their connections to each other. Packed with emotional heart and conspiring supernatural beings, this tightly-woven tale keeps delivering surprises until the very end.

Described by readers as enthralling and immersive, this book is perfect for readers of women's fiction and historical fantasy featuring mature, relatable female protagonists, with magical realism, dark mysteries, and secret destinies.

About K.B. Kveld

K.B. Kveld was writing down stories even before she became a newspaper reporter. And while she wrote about real life for newspapers and magazines, she continued to create other stories about different worlds with fictional characters. And put them into short stories, song lyrics (which earned her an award), stage plays (she has a theater background, too), poetry, and television commercials (sadly, she didn’t get to be in them, but she got to be on set).

She hadn’t really intended to become a novelist too. But when the science fiction and mystery stories she was writing got to be novel length, she realized she was already there.

When she’s not writing, or doing other work, she might be playing or writing music (with the modern versions of the instruments in her stories).
