A New Supernatural Science Fantasy Series

New Release
Wild Light : The awakening
Everything about her life is a secret. Even from herself.
But she doesn’t dare trust the strangers who found her alone and unconscious in the forest with the revelation that she doesn’t know who she is — some of them are clearly keeping secrets that have to do with her. What’s more, they say they’re being hunted by savage marauders who will kill them and her. If she has a family looking for her, how will she find them if she flees through the wilderness with these strangers?
And what about the seemingly magical abilities she discovers she has? She can’t tell the strangers about those either. To find where she belongs, she must unravel the dangerous and painful mysteries about herself and her companions, use every trick she has to survive against the enemies she knows about and those yet to reveal themselves, and deal with the deadly mythical creatures that people don’t believe exist anymore in her 18th century world — they are very wrong.
A suspenseful, tightly-woven plot, bigger with each twist, takes this over 40 heroine and her found family on a treacherous journey of discovery about who they are to each other and what they are meant to become. Full of emotional heart, dark secrets, awakening powers, magical realism, and supernatural beings.
Join the discovery in Book 1 of the Wild Light journey, that may appeal to readers who have enjoyed:
-
The strength of family and love in the Mercedes Lackey Valdemar fantasy series.
-
The main characters in Genevieve Cogman’s Invisible Library fantasy mystery series.
-
The compassion, friendship, and science in Vivian Shaw’s Dr. Greta Van Helsing supernatural fantasy series.
-
And the use of reason and empathy to find the truth in Anna Lee Huber’s Lady Darby historical mysteries.
About K.B. Kveld
K.B. Kveld was writing down stories even before she became a newspaper reporter. And while she wrote about real life for newspapers and magazines, she continued to create other stories about different worlds with fictional characters. And put them into short stories, song lyrics (which earned her an award), stage plays (she has a theater background, too), poetry, and television commercials (sadly, she didn’t get to be in them, but she got to be on set).
She hadn’t really intended to become a novelist too. But when the science fiction and mystery stories she was writing got to be novel length, she realized she was already there.
When she’s not writing, or doing other work, she might be playing or writing music (with the modern versions of the instruments in her stories).
