A New Character-Based Historical Fantasy Series

New Release
Wild Light, The awakening
To survive, she's always had to hide how different
she is from everyone else in her 18th century world.
So waking up in a forest with no memories, especially of what
she’s hiding, puts her in dire jeopardy. She just doesn’t know it.
Yet some deep instinct stops her from telling the strangers who find her about her amnesia. Even before the secretive group reluctantly reveals they’re being hunted by a killing horde, and now so is she.
But she soon learns the hunters aren’t the only danger to her. Her head starts to hurt. Badly. And with the pain comes something else, something her companions might consider a threat to them if they knew. Then there’s her discovery of hidden dragons who will kill to keep their secret, and the mysteries and treachery she must unravel to save herself and those she comes to care about.
The suspense escalates with each plot twist as she and her found family fight for survival and uncover the truth about their connections to each other, and what they mean. Packed with emotional heart, strong character development, and conspiring supernatural beings, this tale keeps delivering surprises until the very end.
Described by readers as enthralling and immersive, this book is perfect for fans of women's fiction and historical fantasy with magical realism, dark mysteries, dragons, and secret destinies.

About K.B. Kveld
K.B. Kveld was writing down stories even before she became a newspaper reporter. And while she wrote about real life for newspapers and magazines, she continued to create other stories about different worlds with fictional characters. And put them into short stories, song lyrics (which earned her an award), stage plays (she has a theater background, too), poetry, and television commercials (sadly, she didn’t get to be in them, but she got to be on set).
She hadn’t really intended to become a novelist too. But when the science fiction and mystery stories she was writing got to be novel length, she realized she was already there.
When she’s not writing, or doing other work or family things, she might be playing or writing music (with the modern versions of the instruments in her stories).
